Meet Melissa

Being surrounded by nature quiets my chaotic mind and being able to shift my focus to the sounds of my footfalls, breath, and the occasional animal helps me decompress. Working for Tigard Parks & Rec in the Recreation Department introduced me to what I consider a hidden gem, Woodard Park. Being there puts me around nature without feeling too isolated and also allows me to set my own pace while walking a small part of the Fanno Creek Trail. The bonus is that, if I feel up to it, I can keep walking along the Fanno Creek Trail and visit other City of Tigard parks!
