Meet Dave

I own my own business, Hops on Tap in Tigard, which keeps me quite busy, but I have Wednesday’s off and spend that day with my grandsons. We love getting out of the house and enjoying parks in Tigard, especially this past month.

It has been wonderful to participate in these Pop-Up events. It has provided some added fun to our park trips and encouraged us to explore new parks in the area. East Butte Heritage Park is a wonderful area, and I don’t think my grandsons have stopped running around the play structure since we got here an hour ago. My grandsons have two speeds: when I say we’re going to the park they’re full speed ahead, but when I say it’s time to leave, they immediately start moving in slow motion.

We are also really looking forward to doing the Park Passport program. We picked up a book at the last Pop-Up and my wife took the grandkids out the other day to visit three new parks we’ve never been to. They had a wonderful time exploring. Thank you guys (Parks & Rec staff) for all that you do. My grandsons and I really appreciate it.
