Building on its momentum as a historic and walkable downtown with unique shopping, eating and drinking establishments, Downtown Reimagined aims to integrate Downtown Tigard’s historic roots with a modernized approach to housing, development, and multi-modal transportation.
This community-driven planning project will provide recommendations for policies, financial investment, and code changes that:
Support Transit Oriented Development
Meet local goals for equitable development
Provide walkable, pedestrian scale development
Create a vibrant community through strategic investments
This project will result in zoning and development code amendments integral to creating a vibrant, central downtown hub for all users. It also reaffirms the community's desire to create a more people-centric downtown by providing a more walkable, small business-oriented, and pedestrian-friendly experience.

Community evaluation of proposed alternatives using criteria that balances equity and inclusion, climate mitigation and adaptation, and sustainable economic growth and vitality. The evaluation process will directly inform the final set of recommendations.
