Bagan Park

Bagan Park is a future neighborhood park located off Greenburg Road near SW Cascade Ave. The property was purchased in 2013 with funding from the 2010 Park Bond. A conceptual plan has been created to guide the development of the park. Some of the key findings of the plan include:

• There are three dominant traits of the site: a small grove of mature deciduous trees, an open meadow, and the Ash Creek stream corridor with its associated pond and wetlands.
• About an acre of this 8.25-acre future neighborhood park could be developed. The rest of the site, which comprises a small creek and wetlands, will remain green space.
• The site is best suited for small group activities and passive recreation.

Funding has become available through the 2019 Metro Parks and Open Space Bond, which will allow Tigard to complete a detailed design of the park. This means the park can be bid on and constructed in 2025-2026. The City of Tigard is working with GreenWorks to develop a design for the future neighborhood park.
