October 2022 Update

The Community Advisory Committee met for the second time to take a tour of the Sunrise Park site, learn about the location of the reservoir and proposed future connection trails, and imagine what the future viewing area at the southern end of the park could look like.

The committee also talked about the summary results of the online survey. During the summer, the city invited community members to give feedback about the near-term park amenities they’d like to see along with the construction of the reservoir. The committee observed that the survey takers, like themselves, also value the natural feeling of Sunrise Park and want to preserve it.

The committee will next meet in winter 2023 to see the nearly-final design plans and comment on the types and locations of near-term park amenities.
